One Half Base X Height

I began working with a middle school student this year. His mom chose to home school him this year to work on strengthening his academic foundations. Math has been a bit of a struggle for him in the past. He has worked so diligently and learned so much over the past year. Monday I accidentally picked up his workbook when I left, so I went to deliver it to him this morning. He stepped off the elevator with a great big smile and announced that he had been working hard and learned the formula for the area of a triangle since Monday. Proud and motivated.... both of us.
